Drying & Processing Methods
Different products call for different drying approaches. Direct sun-drying, used for some strains, exposes leaves to intense tropical sunlight and produces visible colour changes. Shade-drying, used for others, is a slower, gentler process that preserves the leaf’s natural green colour. Our White Borneo and Green Malay each use processing methods suited to their specific leaf type and desired final appearance.
