If you have tried to buy kratom in Canada and found that your credit card is not an option, you are not doing anything wrong. No vendor in this industry accepts them, and there is a specific reason for that.
This guide covers every payment method available, how each one works, which is fastest, and what to do when something goes wrong.
Visa and Mastercard maintain merchant category restrictions that block kratom transactions across their networks. This is not Canadian law and it is not a Health Canada rule. It is private payment processor policy, driven largely by regulatory uncertainty in the United States.
The practical effect is that no kratom vendor in Canada can process a Visa or Mastercard payment through a legitimate merchant account. Any vendor who appears to accept them is either misclassifying transactions under a different merchant category, which violates their processor agreement, or is about to lose their processing. Neither is a vendor you want holding your card details.
This applies to Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay as well, since those run on the same card networks.
The standard method for kratom purchases in Canada, and the fastest.
How it works. Place your order on our website and select e-transfer at checkout. You will receive an order number. Log into your bank or credit union, choose Interac e-Transfer, and send the total to:

Include your order number in the message field.
No security question is needed. We have auto-deposit enabled, which means the payment lands directly in our account without any question or password. If your bank is asking you to set a security question, the email address is wrong. Double-check it character by character.
On contact names. Some banks, particularly credit unions, strip symbols from the contact display name. That is normal and harmless. The contact name is just a label. What matters is the email address field.
Timing. Most e-transfers arrive within minutes. Some banks hold first-time transfers to a new recipient for up to 30 minutes. We confirm payments manually during business hours, Monday to Friday.
Daily limits. Most Canadian banks cap e-transfers at $3,000 per day and $10,000 per week, though this varies. If you are placing a large order and hit your limit, let us know and we will hold the order while you send the balance the next day. This comes up regularly with wholesale orders.
Available for anyone who cannot use e-transfer, including visitors from outside Canada.
PayPal can be funded with a credit card, which makes it the practical workaround for anyone who wants to pay by card. The transaction goes through PayPal rather than directly to us, so the card network restriction does not apply in the same way.
Place your order on the website first, select e-transfer at checkout, then contact us and we will send you the PayPal details.
Useful for international payments or anyone who already uses it. Wise generally offers better exchange rates than a bank for cross-border payments, which matters if you are paying in a currency other than Canadian dollars.

Select the crypto option when you place your order and follow the instructions. The system generates a payment address and confirms automatically once the transaction clears.
Because the gateway is automated, it handles one payment per order. If you need to send an additional amount, for example to upgrade shipping after ordering, contact us and we will arrange it separately.
COD lets you pay when you collect the package rather than upfront. It is the only method where you do not send money before receiving the product.
How it works. Select COD at checkout. We ship the order on Xpresspost. Canada Post does not bring a COD parcel to your door. They leave a notice card, hold the parcel at your local post office, and you pay at the counter when you pick it up.
You need ID. Government-issued photo identification matching the name on the package. If your ID does not show that address, Canada Post may also ask for proof of residency. The delivery notice card itself is on their accepted list, as is a hotel or short-term rental confirmation showing your name and the address.
Payment at the counter is in Canadian dollars. Credit and debit are accepted at the post office.
COD costs more. Canada Post charges an additional fee on top of the shipping cost, typically $10 to $15 depending on the order. For a small order, that fee can exceed the value of the product. E-transfer with Xpresspost is usually cheaper for the same delivery speed.
COD is capped at $1,000 per package. Larger orders get split across multiple shipments, each with its own COD payment and its own notice card.
Fastest processing. E-transfer. Sent, confirmed and shipped the same day if it arrives before 2 PM Eastern.
No Canadian bank account. PayPal or Wise.
Want to use a credit card. PayPal, funded by card.
Do not want to pay before receiving. COD, accepting the extra fee and the post office trip.
Privacy preference. Cryptocurrency.
E-transfers show the name on the receiving account, not a business name and nothing referencing kratom. PayPal shows the PayPal transaction. COD shows a Canada Post charge from the post office.
Sent to the wrong email address. If a security question was required, it went somewhere other than our address. Contact your bank immediately to cancel or recall the transfer. Unclaimed e-transfers can usually be recalled.
Forgot the order number. Not fatal. Email us with the amount, the date and the name the payment was sent from, and we will match it. Including the order number just makes it faster.
Paid the wrong amount. The most common version is using the pre-tax subtotal instead of the order total. Send the difference to the same address with your order number and we will process the order.
Payment options not showing at checkout. They only appear after you enter your full shipping address. The system needs the address to calculate shipping and available payment methods.
Hit your daily transfer limit. Send what you can and the remainder when the limit resets. Tell us and we will hold your order.
Refunds are issued by e-transfer to the address you specify, or as store credit on your account if you prefer. Store credit is faster and we can apply it immediately.
For crypto payments, refunds are issued by e-transfer rather than returned in cryptocurrency, since the gateway handles payments in one direction only.
We ship within Canada only. Visitors staying in Canada temporarily can order to their hotel, Airbnb or a friend’s address, and PayPal or Wise handles payment without needing a Canadian bank account. Contact us for those details.
If you are ordering to a short-term rental and choosing COD, be aware of the ID and proof of residency requirements above. A booking confirmation in your name usually satisfies it, but worth confirming with the local post office first.
