Kratom Shipping Times in Canada: What to Actually Expect

Every order we ship goes out from Quebec City via Canada Post. That single fact determines almost everything about when your package arrives. This guide covers how the timing works, what each service actually delivers, and where the common surprises come from.

How our shipping works

Orders paid before 2 PM Eastern ship the same business day. Canada Post collects from us in the late afternoon, usually between 4 and 5 PM, so your package enters their network that evening and starts moving overnight.

Orders paid after 2 PM ship the next business day. Some days we can still squeeze late orders through, but we do not promise it.

The 2 PM cutoff is Eastern time. If you are in British Columbia that is 11 AM your time, in Alberta noon, in Saskatchewan noon or 1 PM depending on the season. Worth knowing if you are trying to catch same-day dispatch from the west.

Canada Post does not collect or deliver on weekends or statutory holidays. An order placed Friday afternoon ships Monday. An order placed the day before a holiday ships the day after it.

The four shipping options

Free shipping

Free on every order, no minimum, no exceptions. How it travels depends on weight.

Under 200g it goes as letter mail. No tracking, no signature. It arrives in your mailbox like a letter. This is the option most first-time buyers use and the one that generates the most questions, because there is nothing to follow.

Over 200g it upgrades automatically to Expedited Parcel with tracking. Same free price, but you can see where it is.

Expedited Parcel

Canada Post’s standard tracked ground service. This is what most of our orders ship on, and it is the free option on anything over 200g.

Xpresspost

The faster tracked service, and the best value for speed on most routes. All COD orders ship on Xpresspost.

Priority

The fastest tier on paper. In practice it follows the same routes as Xpresspost and often arrives the same day. The difference is priority handling at sorting centres, which helps on long routes but rarely matters within Quebec or Ontario.

We generally do not recommend it. On a Quebec City to Halifax route it costs roughly double Xpresspost for a difference that frequently does not materialise. It makes sense for remote destinations or a genuine deadline, not as a default.

Delivery times by region

Business days only, weekends and holidays excluded. Add one day for orders placed after the 2 PM cutoff.

Choosing a service

Not in a hurry? Free shipping. It costs nothing and it arrives. On a small order you accept no tracking, which is the trade.

Want tracking without paying? Order over 200g and free shipping becomes Expedited Parcel automatically.

Need it fast? Xpresspost. It is the sweet spot for speed against cost on every route.

Need it tomorrow and you are far away? Priority. Otherwise it is money spent on a difference you probably will not notice.

Where the surprises come from

Free shipping under 200g has no tracking. This is the single most common question we get. There is no tracking number to give you. It will arrive in your mailbox. The confirmation email says this, but people miss it.

Tracking takes a day to activate. A number issued this afternoon may show nothing until tomorrow. Normal.

“Delivering today” is an estimate. Canada Post updates its delivery estimate as the parcel moves, and that date shifts. It does not mean the package is stuck.

Weekends do not count. A Thursday afternoon Xpresspost order to Halifax will not arrive before Tuesday. Thursday to Friday is one business day, then the weekend, then Monday and Tuesday.

Holidays back things up. Statutory holidays stop everything for a day, and the day after is slower because volume piles up. Quebec’s construction holiday in late July also thins staffing across the province.

PO boxes and rural routes are slower. Letter mail to a rural PO box can genuinely take the full two weeks. Tracked services are faster but still add a day.

Cash on Delivery timing

COD orders ship on Xpresspost, so the transit times above apply. The difference is at the end. Canada Post does not bring a COD parcel to your door. They leave a notice card, hold the parcel at your local post office, and you pay when you collect it. Add whatever time it takes you to get there.

COD also carries a Canada Post fee on top of shipping, which is why e-transfer with Xpresspost usually works out cheaper for the same delivery speed.

If something goes wrong

If a tracked parcel has not moved in five business days, or a free shipping order has not arrived after three weeks, contact us. We file claims as the shipper, which is the only route that gets traction with Canada Post, and we sort out a replacement or refund without making you wait on their process.

Every order ships in plain packaging with nothing on the outside indicating what is inside.
