Red Thai is a traditional red vein kratom variety, produced using a natural fermentation process followed by controlled drying to develop its deep reddish-brown color and distinct character. The leaves are harvested at full maturity, when the veins display a darker hue and the leaf structure is at its most robust.
After harvest, the leaves undergo fermentation in sealed bags, allowing internal moisture and natural heat to alter the chemical and visual properties of the leaf. Once fermentation is complete, the leaves are dried in low-light conditions, with some producers adding a brief final sun-drying phase to stabilize the powder.
The result is a fine, uniform powder with a darker tone and a rich, earthy aroma. Red Thai reflects a traditional preparation method rooted in Southeast Asian post-harvest practices, offering a consistent and carefully handled product.
